Home camp

Me and my dad arrived at the reserve to see the kaka's and Boundery Strem Reserve.Boundery Stream Reserve is a reserve that on the other side is a kaka reserve but when we went in it we saw no kaka's because it was raining but we herd (heard) them in the trees. When we went further because there was a track we saw a New Zealand robin! They ussuly (usually) are not common in Hastings and go on low ground and are curious and friendly.I got so close that I could just touch it but after a little while it flew away.We then went to the reserve to look at the gigantic old tree.It was so big that it had to reach the sky.Something that challenged me was walking on the track in the rain but we did not go far.Under my feet was mud where the car was parked but when we went on the track it was fine.

Our tortara tree

I have been learning to work collaboratively with others and in a group of three. In front of all of the groups was a branch. That was the part that helped create the tree was the branches. We had to decorate the branch to make it look like a decorative branch. When we all had fineshed our branch we went to our hall and placed down our branch to make our totara tree.We had to place our branch down with our group and then when the last group placed their branch it took its shape. When we went home the teachers put plastic around the branches to make it stick the branches to the carpet backround.
